Engineering firm Xodus Group has a new man at the helm after a top-level reshuffle.
Wim van der Zande, the Aberdeen company’s former chief executive, is now chairman.
Stephen Swindell, who co-founded the business alongside Colin Manson in 2005, has been handed the role of managing director after a spell as chief operating officer.
Mr Swindell’s new job combines the duties he had before with those of a chief executive.
Mr van der Zande had been in the CEO’s job since 2015, having progressed from project engineer to project manager and director roles for companies operating around the world.
A former business advisor with Chiyoda Corporation, he has also been at the heart of the Japanese engineering giant’s involvement in Xodus in recent years. Yokohama-based Chiyoda acquired a majority stake in Xodus in 2013.
Mr Swindell said: “Wim has established a strong relationship between Xodus and Chiyoda over the last few years. Although he will step back from much of the day-day work, he will continue to play a role as Xodus chairman.”
Xodus said it now had “a more efficient and flexible business with people in the positions where they can provide the most value”.
