Serica Energy plc have announced the restart of the Bruce, Keith and Rhum fields within the North Sea following the Forties pipeline repair.
BP Exploration Operating Company (“BPEOC”), as operator, today informed Serica Energy that all three fields have resumed production.
The Forties Pipeline System, which was closed in mid-December, required a large number of fields to shut down production, causing widespread disruption across the industry and in international markets.
Serica announced last year that it was acquiring interests in the Bruce, Keith and Rhum fields from BP, with an effective date of 1 January 2018.
The Sale and Purchase Agreement is expected to be completed by the middle of 2018.
