Energy service firm Petrofac has confirmed that it is still under investigation for suspected bribery, corruption, and/or money laundering.
London-headquartered Petrofac confirmed in a statement that the investigation by the UK Serious Fraud Office continues and that the company are ‘engaging’ with officers.
Directors, the chairman, executive directors and non-executive directors and employees of Petrofac will be interviewed by fraud officers ‘either under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act or under caution’.
Petrofac has confirmed that they will continue to provide any relevant documentation but that they don’t anticipate commenting further on an on-going matter.
Petrofac’s share price has dropped almost 3% this morning.
The company said that it will announce its yearly ending 31 December 2017 on 1 March 2018.
