An Aberdeenshire video production business has inked contracts worth £50,000 with energy sector clients since the start of 2018.
Fennel Media, based at Thainstone, near Inverurie, said the awards indicated rising levels of confidence in the north-east business community.
The new projects are expected to drive turnover at Fennel Media to in excess of £250,000 for the year to June 30, 2018, up from £130,280 the previous financial year.
The business believes it can increase turnover to £500,000 by mid-2019.
Fennel was set up in 2016 and is led by operations manager Jo McIntosh and creative directors Kevin Stride and Richard Baron.
It provides a range of aerial photography, videography and animation services.
The company has won contracts with several energy service companies − among them Rotech, Ecosse Subsea Systems and Kuehne + Nagel.
Its work with Rotech involved filming shots of the load-out of trenching equipment for a North Sea renewables client.
Stephen Cochrane, director at Rotech Subsea, said: “While we had a relatively clear idea of what we wanted to achieve, the end result surpassed all our expectations of what could be done to promote the group’s capabilities to new and existing clients alike.”
Ms McIntosh said: “These key projects highlight the full range of technical capabilities and creativity possessed by the Fennel Media team and put us in a strong position to achieve our growth objectives.
“We firmly believe our reputation for innovation and delivering excellent service has been pivotal in our ability to attract and retain leading energy businesses of all sizes.”
