Oilfield service firm WorleyParsons has netted the front end engineering design contract for Ithaca Energy’s Vorlich field in the North Sea.
Ithaca, owned by Israeli firm Delek Group, wants to develop the field as a tieback to the FPF-1 floating production facility, which currently services the Stella field.
The work will be carried out by WorleyParsons’ newly-acquired North Sea business, headquartered in Aberdeen.
Australia-headquartered WorleyParsons entered the UK North Sea last year with its acquisition of the former upstream oil and gas assets of Amec Foster Wheeler.
Amec FW was taken over by Aberdeen energy service giant Wood.
Vorlich lies about 6miles north of Stella, which came into production in early 2017.
