Well construction specialist DeltaTek has completed a move to new headquarters in Dyce, Aberdeen, as part of ambitious expansion plans.
The firm – formerly Deepwater Tools – said yesterday its new offices in Howe Moss Drive had capacity for 25 staff, which is more than eight times the size of the current three-strong workforce. Current turnover of about £250,000 a year is expected to rocket to around £1.3million within a year.
DeltaTek, which did not previously have an HQ, was launched in 2015 in response to growing demand for intelligent, cost-saving and risk-reducing oil field technology.
Two of its products, SeaCure and ArticuLock, have already attracted funding from both the Oil and Gas Technology Centre and Scottish Enterprise, with field trials with oil majors due to start later this month.
The company recently appointed two oil and gas industry veterans, Dave Shand and Steve Bruce, to support its growth plans.
Mr Shand, who previously worked for Stats Group and AX-S, is chief commercial and operations officer. Mr Bruce, a former chief executive at Darcy Technologies, is chairman and chief technology officer.
DeltaTek founder and chief executive Tristam Horn said: “I see their skills as central to our success and consider their appointments milestones.”
