Scottish oil and gas recruitment company AGR has reported strong growth at its fledgling north-east operation.
Edinburgh-based AGR (Advanced Global Recruitment) opened an office in Westhill, near Aberdeen, just over a year ago.
The north-east workforce has grown from just two to eight since then amid a recovery in the offshore oil and gas industry.
As a result, AGR is relocating from Aberdeenshire to new premises on Albert Street in Aberdeen.
AGR, which operates in 54 countries, said market conditions continued to be “very challenging”.
But maiden annual turnover of £2 million at the north-east division is forecast to soar to £5m in year two.
Chief executive Stuart Hunter said: “From a standing start in April 2017 and through a targeted growth plan, the team have managed to build a strong client and candidate database very quickly and efficiently.
“We are now proud to list many of the world’s largest offshore oilfield services companies as our repeat business clients.
“We are looking forward to further cementing our position and reputation in the Aberdeen market in the near future, and building on the success of our first year there”.
