HB Rentals, a supplier of offshore living quarters and temporary workforce housing, has signed up for 11,500sq ft of industrial space at Howemoss Drive, in Dyce, Aberdeen.
Granite City-based property firm FG Burnett acted on behalf of a private client landlord in securing the 10-year lease, while Ryden represented the tenant. Refurbishment works specified and monitored by FG Burnett building consultancy associate David McCurdy are “well under way”.
FG Burnett director Graeme Watt said: “Added to other recent lettings in Westhill and across the city, this letting confirms that the Aberdeen industrial market is beginning to recover from the downturn, reflecting returning confidence in the energy and other sectors. Encouraging interest is being shown in other units of a similar style.”
HB Rentals has its corporate headquarters in Louisiana, in the US.
It is part of American oilfield equipment and services company Superior Energy Services.
Founded in 1976 to serve the US oil and gas industry, HB Rentals acquired Aberdeen business Duffy and McGovern in 2007 in a £23.7 million deal giving American company access to the North Sea market.
The north-east business – based in Sauchen, Aberdeenshire, since 2013 – manages Eastern Hemisphere operations across Europe, west Africa and the Asia-Pacific region.
