Emergency services transported an ill worker from an offshore platform to hospital yesterday.
Responding to a call made at around 10.45am yesterday morning, the air ambulance was sent out to Chrysaor’s Lomond Platform.
Chrysaor confirmed the worker was evacuated due to a longstanding health issue not associated with work.
The helicopter took the worker to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary (ARI) and landed shortly after 1pm.
The Stonehaven Coastguard also assisted with the operation.
The worker has since been discharged home from hospital.
Lomond lies 145miles off the coast of Aberdeen.
