Aberdeen-based Acteon subsidiary UTEC Survey today announced the appointment of a new group managing director, hired from within the firm.
Offshore and onshore survey company UTEC Survey confirmed that Paul Smith was hired from within Acteon in 2016, where he had previously held a number of commercial and operational roles.
Joining Acteon in 2011, UTEC described Mr Smith as “instrumental” in the merger of UTEC with NCS Survey in 2015 and was, most recently, responsible for the day-to-day management of UTEC’s operations worldwide.
The new role will keep Mr Smith in Aberdeen at the Acteon building.
Mr Smith said: “I am looking forward to building on the efforts made by everyone in the organisation over the past few years, cementing our hard-earned reputation for service quality and working to grow the business from what is now a very sound base.”
