BP has awarded Prosafe a £14.3million contract to charter the Safe Zephyrus accommodation vessel at the Clair Ridge platform.
The five-month contract will begin in May next year, with a one-month extension option.
It will see the Safe Zephyrus provide gangway connected operations to support the completion of some post-first oil work at the field west of Shetland.
The work will begin directly after the vessel’s current contract is completed at Equinor’s Johan Sverdrup platform in Norway.
It is the second year in a row that Prosafe has been hired for work at Clair Ridge for BP, with its Safe Caledonia vessel currently stationed there.
Prosafe CEO Jesper Kragh Andresen said: “For the second year in a row Prosafe will be providing BP with a high quality vessel at Clair Ridge.
“The Safe Zephyrus’ track record of gangway connected operations is second to none since her delivery in 2016, and together with the Prosafe team represents the best the industry can offer.”
