North-east energy service firm Texo Group has launched a new accommodation division following a raft of appointments.
The team at Texo Accommodation has more than 100 years’ experience and is headed up by Richard Lamb, formerly of Aiken Group.
Other team members have joined from Rigmar, Aker and Lab Tech Services.
The business will deliver a range of services onshore and offshore including design, engineering, architectural, electrical, instrumentation, piping, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning and refrigeration, and maintenance.
Services typically offered to oil and gas clients cover refurbishment and new build modules for offshore accommodation structures, for example, living quarters, air-conditioned rooms, workshops and safe area modules.
Mr Lamb said: “Although safety, cost and quality always remain paramount I believe that communication, clarity and integrity is and will be the key to the successful delivery on all projects whilst enhancing and fostering client relationships and confidence for the future.”
Group managing director Robert Dalziel said: “I have known Richard for over 20 years and his knowledge and experience in the accommodation sector is unsurpassed.
“Richard and his team have redesigned the traditional accommodation market and are trailblazing a new and exciting offering for clients.”
Texo Group, based in Westhill, near Aberdeen, has bought a number of firms in recent months, including CFS Offshore Engineering, Peterhead-based consultancy Navitas Compliance Solutions and family-run Aberdeen firm Orca Subsea.
It also signed a lease giving it access to a manufacturing base and offices in the Port of Dundee.
