Floating production and subsea specialist Crondall Energy has made two management appointments following a restructuring of the business.
Crondall split its consulting and technology businesses last year.
Anna-Louise Peters has been made the new managing director of the consultancy division, having been promoted from finance director.
Her predecessor Duncan Peace, who set up Crondall Energy Consultants in 2001, is moving into a new role as group managing director to oversee both sides, with a focus on its technology arm.
The appointments come as Crondall aims to capitalise on “rapidly expanding opportunities” in the sector.
Ms Peters, who retains her finance responsibilities, joined Crondall in 2014 having previously worked for professional services Deloitte in London for 12 years as a director in their Energy and Resources audit department.
Crondall operates as a consultancy through its floating production and subsea arms, and offers technology services through its subsidiary, Buoyant Production Technologies.
Mr Peace said: “These changes will allow us to capitalise on the rapidly expanding opportunities in the market and grow both our consulting and technology businesses.
“Anna-Louise has shown outstanding leadership during what has been a turbulent period throughout the industry and she has demonstrated that she has the necessary strategic vision and drive to grow the consulting business in the future.
“By providing Buoyant Production Technologies with a greater level of dedicated management resource, we will now be able to accelerate the commercialisation of our innovative technology solutions for the floating production market.”
Crondall recently secured a frame agreement with Siccar Point Energy for work on the Cambo development west of Shetland, looking at options for a floating production, storage and offloading vessel.
The firm is also working with the Oil and Gas Technology Centre on a study into reusable production buoys in order to economically recover oil from “small pools”.
