A new firm has been launched to “address a gap” in the UK oil and gas and renewables seabed services market.
Seabed Solutions, a firm based in Lowestoft, will look to target the North Sea oil and gas sector while also focusing on the growing UK renewable energy sector.
The firm is led by Martin Sisley, managing director of James Fisher Marine Services, Red7Offshore, and Ocean Installer.
Mr Sisley said his firm is “absolutely” focused on North Sea business and Scottish offshore wind.
Seabed Solutions said it will “provide solutions for all seabed related matters during the life-cycle of offshore energy assets”, including offshore wind, wave, tidal, oil and gas, and associated infrastructure.
Mr Sisley said: “We are thrilled to be launching Seabed Solutions after several months of developing the business concept. We know from discussions across the industry that there is a major gap in the seabed market for a solutions-focussed provider that really delivers what clients need.”
“Seabed Solutions will do things a little differently. We are offering our clients an impartial and independent assessment of their problem, developing and implementing innovative and cost-effective solutions.”
