Aberdeenshire-based engineering firm Infinity has hired its first subsea operations team lead.
Richard Horne has more than 30 years of operations experience gained with Shell, Petrofac, EnQuest and Fairfield Energy.
He will lead Infinity’s subsea operations, which include IRM (inspection, repair and maintenance), engineering, asset and integrity management, project management and decommissioning.
Infinity, headquartered in Westhill, estimates an additional five engineers will join the subsea operations team in 2019.
Mr Horne said: “I am delighted to join the team at Infinity. The reputation of the company has grown over the past number of years and the recent Subsea UK Best Small Company of the Year award was great recognition of the hard work being done here.
“It’s an exciting time for the business and I look forward to growing the team, further developing Infinity’s subsea operations capability, and building on its strong track record”.
