Oilfield services firm Craig International has won a North Sea contract worth around £20million with BP.
The Aberdeen-based company will provide procurement services such as sourcing equipment for maintenance, repair and operations for BP’s UK assets, including the ETAP, Andrew and Clair Ridge platforms.
The work is for a three-year period with a two-year extension option.
Craig International said a dedicated Aberdeen team will work with BP on the contract, which has created two new positions and safeguarded several existing roles.
Joint managing director Jill Macdonald said: “We have worked with BP since 2013 and this latest contract is testament to our investment in those processes and our skilled procurement personnel globally who continue to add value at every point of the supply chain process for our clients.
“Our continued investment in driving efficiency through innovative systems and processes has allowed us to remain at the forefront of the global oil and gas procurement market.”
The BP contract follows a similar win for Craig International last week, landing a deal with Spirit Energy in the UK worth up to £21m over seven years.
It comes as the company also celebrates its best ever year in North America after opening its Houston premises in 2005.
The US operation recorded turnover of £37.3million in the last year, and recently moved to larger offices in Houston’s Woodham Drive, employing 20 people there.
From its Houston premises, Craig International works with operators in Canada, the Gulf of Mexico and in the US domestic market.
Ms Macdonald added: “Our Houston premises opened in 2005 and we’ve seen steady, year-on-year growth.
“However this has accelerated in the last three years as the need for efficiencies has driven demand for out-sourced procurement services.
“Our combination of experienced personnel and e-systems offers a winning solution and we look forward to expanding our footprint further in North America.”
Accounts for Craig International and its parent were lodged at Companies House earlier this year.
Craig International reported a 20% increase in turnover to £100.2 million, from £83.4m a year earlier, across UK and international operations during the 12 months to April 30 2018.
