Sodexo said yesterday its energy and resources arm had won three new energy sector facilities management (FM) contracts, together worth £6.5 million a year, in the UK.
The French catering giant will provide Total Exploration and Production UK with a range of FM services for more than 1,200 employees at three sites in Aberdeen and Shetland as part of a new five-year deal.
Sodexo said Doosan Babcock, which delivers engineering and asset management services offshore, had awarded it a new three-year contract to provide multiple FM services at six UK locations.
The Doosan Babcock deal will see Sodexo’s new Let’s Eat food service introduced to more than 1,200 employees.
Sodexo’s third new contract is with an unnamed “major player in the energy market” and sees the company providing offshore hotel services on an accommodation vessel.
A 46-strong Sodexo team will provide FM services for about 300 people on board.
Susan Elston, senior vice-president for Sodexo’s offshore and marine business in the UK and Ireland, said: “We are looking forward to partnering with all three clients.”
The UK and Irish operations of Sodexo employ around 36,000 people in the delivery of services at more than 2,100 locations in the corporate, energy and resources, healthcare, education, leisure, justice and defence sectors.
Activities range from catering, cleaning and reception to asset management, security, and laboratory and grounds maintenance.
