Prodrill Energy Resource Solutions said yesterday it had added to its boardroom team to support the recruitment ambitions of the UK oil and gas industry.
Drew Alexander has moved up to client relationship director with the Aberdeen-based business, which specialises in supplying workers for the offshore sector.
Mr Alexander has been part of the management team for seven years as operations and client relationship manager. He takes his place on the board alongside managing director Louise Wood and co-director Julie Cowie.
It comes as the industry adapts to a changing recruitment landscape, including future legislation changes around IR35, affecting the use of contractors, with its Vision 2035 ambition targeting the recruitment of an additional 25,000 people by 2025 and 40,000 by 2035.
Mr Alexander, who has more than 20 years’ oil and gas recruitment experience, said: “During the downturn, Prodrill focused on its core strengths and technical know-how. My new appointment will allow me to work alongside my fellow directors to strengthen our global reputation and forge links with new clients across a wider service offering.”
Prodrill has supported more than 2,000 client projects in 37 countries over the past decade.
Bob Watt has also recently joined the company as senior technical resource specialist.
