Petrochemicals giant Ineos has handed oilfield service firm Petrofac a three-year deal to provide operations and maintenance crew for its Forties pipeline business.
Petrofac staff will serve on the Unity platform in the central North Sea, the onshore Cruden Bay Terminal and other landline sites.
The contract value was not disclosed.
UK-headquartered Petrofac already provides maintenance consultancy services to Ineos FPS in the North Sea.
Ineos said in February that it would invest £500 million to extend the life of the Forties Pipeline System (FPS) by “at least 20 years”, safeguarding 1,000 jobs in the process.

“This award builds on our existing track record for the provision of experienced, competent and operations-ready personnel in support of both onshore and offshore activities.
“Our teams will focus on a safe and efficient delivery as we support Ineos FPS to increase uptime, improve asset performance and optimise operating expenditure.”
