North-east firm Boskalis Subsea Services (BSS) said yesterday its rapid growth was creating new opportunities for the supply chain.
The subsea construction company – part of the offshore energy arm of Dutch group Boskalis – added it was looking to work with other firms with “fresh, innovative ideas and new technology, following recent contract awards totalling more than £100 million
It is also turning its attention to securing large-scale subsea, umbilicals riser and flowlines projects globally.
Managing director Stuart Cameron said: “As part of Boskalis’ offshore energy division, we can leverage a raft of specialist marine services to deliver a fully integrated solution to the most complex offshore projects in oil and gas and renewables.
“Working flexibly, we continually develop fit-for-purpose, cost-effective and safe ways of tackling underwater construction challenges.
“This does however require fresh ways of approaching complexity, as well as new technology and applications, which is why we are actively going out to the market to build relationships with suppliers who share our approach to innovation.”
Mr Cameron added: “The message to subsea companies is that our door is open. We’re very keen to hear from those who can offer something truly different, and are willing to build mutually beneficial and truly collaborative relationships.”
Westhill-based BSS has 1,750 vessel days booked for its dive-suppport fleet for 2019, 2020 and beyond.
