An engineering services firm, which recently underwent a management buyout, has strengthened its leadership team with six new appointments.
Fabricom Offshore Services rebranded earlier this year to Quanta Fabricom after chief executive Nick Oates completed a buyout of the firm which was previously a subsidiary of French group Engie.
Quanta, which is based in Aberdeen and Newcastle, has now made a series of new hires to bolster its team.
The firm specialises in engineering, procurement and construction services to the oil and gas sector and said it was strategically placed along the east coast to provide services to the UK North Sea.
David Stark joins as finance director with experience across the marine and manufacturing industries, while John Brown, who has spent more than 35 years in oil, gas and power generation has become construction manager.
Stephen Brown, who has also worked for more than 25 years in oil and gas and marine industries has become tender manager while Lucy Walton becomes supply chain coordinator from Technip.
Completing the line-up are David Poulton, a member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, becoming procurement lead and Neville Brown joining as a quality assurance and control engineer.
In December Quanta moved its Aberdeen business into new offices at Arnhall Business Park in Westhill.
The firm employs more than 140 onshore and offshore employees and estimates headcount in Westhill will rise to around 30.
CEO Nick Oates said: We’re thrilled to welcome the latest recruits to the Quanta team. Since the management buyout last year and our recent re-brand, there has been a strong focus on recruitment and development of our people.
“We actively seek to attract talent from across various sectors, and the experience and knowledge of the individuals coming on board will help us to continue to deliver innovative and value-adding solutions to our clients.
“These appointments come at a significant time in Quanta’s journey and I look forward to working with the team on some of the exciting opportunities that lie ahead for us.”
