Offshore Design Engineering (ODE), an international technical service provider to the oil, gas and renewable energy markets, said yesterday it had appointed Sandy Reid as managing director of asset management.
Based in ODE’s new Aberdeen office, which opened late last year, Mr Reid will oversee the asset management division of the company.
Mr Reid’s oil and gas industry experience stretches back nearly 40 years and includes senior roles with both operating and service firms. He was latterly vice-president of production enhancement at Petrofac.
He will work closely with ODE’s deputy managing director, Paul Chilvers, who led a restructuring of the company’s asset management division.
Mr Reid said: “I’m delighted to be joining ODE at a time when the UKCS (UK continental shelf) is going through a period of energy transition.
“ODE’s capability and experience in the offshore oil and gas and renewables markets enables us to offer seamless asset management services to support clients in meeting both their business and zero carbon goals.”
London-based ODE said it was looking to grow its presence in the Granite City following a series of contract wins, worth £20 million.
Mr Chilvers added: “We recognised the need to review the structure of our asset management division and Sandy’s appointment is a key milestone.”
