Step Change in Safety has added bosses from BP and Schlumberger to its leadership roster.
Graeme Gordon, VP of operations for BP North Sea and Laure Mandrou, Europe general manager for Reservoir Performance at Schlumberger, make up the appointments.
They join Step Change is Safety’s leadership team, responsible for the organisation’s planning and monitoring activities.
Mr Gordon, from north-east Scotland, has held a number of roles within BP, including operations manager for Deepwater FPSOs in Angola and the ETAP/Andrew/ Harding assets in the North Sea.
Ms Mandrou, with more than two decades of experience, began her career as a mechanical design engineer before moving on to hold several management and leadership positions in France, the USA and Russia.
Welcoming the new appointments, Step Change in Safety executive director Steve Rae said: “As I welcome Laure and Graeme to the team I do so with the knowledge that they will add extensive industry experience and an unquestionable commitment to safety in an already strong leadership team.
“As our industry continues to face uncertain times, and what can only be described as a challenging journey ahead, it’s reassuring to know that we have a leadership team that is well positioned and resourced to develop a synergised approach to leading our industry’s safety agenda.”
