EnerMech has confirmed a three-year extension to its equipment rental deal with Petrofac, taking the two companies’ working relationship beyond the ten-year mark.
Having held the contract since 2012, EnerMech’s 57-strong Aberdeen and Great Yarmouth teams will continue to support energy services group Petrofac with rental equipment delivery across all its UK operations until 2024.
The work scope includes rigging and lifting, safety, measuring, electrical, air powered, hand tools, and welding and torquing equipment.
Asset lifecycle support specialist EnerMech was awarded the extension following a competitive commercial and technical review.
The value of the contract was not disclosed.
The award follows another recent win for Aberdeen-headquartered EnerMech, in which it secured a five-year contract to deliver tensioning, torquing and associated services across all of TAQA’s North Sea platforms earlier in November.
The TAQA contract sees the company deliver services across the Cormorant Alpha, North Cormorant, Eider Alpha, Harding, Tern Alpha, Brae Alpha, and East Brae platforms.
Commenting on the contract extension, regional director for Europe and Africa, Ross McHardy said the company was “exceptionally proud” be extending its relationship with Petrofac.
“During the last nine years, we have developed an in-depth knowledge of their operations, working practices and requirements. I’d like to thank our highly skilled and dedicated people who have been integral to this latest award win as they continue to be recognised for delivering a first-class service across our equipment rental projects,” he added.
This year also saw EnerMech appoint its first Asia director to support increasing operations in the region..
James Phu Nguyen assumed the role in July, and is responsible for leading personnel in Asia with a key focus on driving business growth in the region, particularly in expanding the company’s process, pipelines and umbilical (PPU), cranes, hydraulics and industrial services offering.
