North sea operator Serica Energy has extended Odfjell Drilling’s stay on the Bruce platform.
The Norwegian energy services company will continue to provide storage, preservation, maintenance, and drilling services until October 31, 2022.
Initially due to run for a year, the original contract, which contained two, one year extensions, kicked off on November 1, 2018.
Elisabeth Haram, EVP of Odfjell Energy, said: “We are delighted to continue our strong collaboration with Serica on the Bruce platform and look forward to continuing the delivery of safe and efficient operations together.”
Bruce is located around 210 miles north-east of Aberdeen in the northern North Sea.
The late life gas field produces via 21 wells, with average production of around 9,600 barrels of oil equivalent per day.
Gas is exported through the Frigg pipeline to the St Fergus terminal in Aberdeenshire, while liquids are distributed using the Forties Pipeline System.
