Maersk Drilling has been awarded a contract worth $16.9 million (£12.9m) in the UK North Sea.
The five-month deal is for the harsh environment jack-up rig Maersk Resole.
Maersk Drilling has not disclosed the name of the customer.
The work is expected to last 150 days, beginning next month.
It contains options to add additional work for a total estimated duration of 85 days.
Maersk Resolve is currently warm-stacked in Esbjerg, Denmark after completing a previous contract in the UK North Sea in January.
