Swedish firm Lundin Petroleum’s Borselv well in the Barents Sea is dry, Norwegian authorities said today.
The Leiv Eiriksson rig drilled the well and will now move onto another wildcat well operated by Lundin in the Barents.
The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) said Borselv had poor to moderate reservoir quality.
NPD said: “There were traces of oil. The well is classified as dry.”
