The 24,000 tonne topside for the Aasta Hansteen platform has set sail to Norway from South Korea onboard the Dockwise White Marlin.
The journey will take two months to transport the huge platform.
Statoil shared a picture of the topside leaving its South Korean yard on social media.
The Aasta Hansteen gas field is located in the Norwegian Sea and was discovered in 1997.
The drilling campaign on Aasta Hansteen is expected to start towards the end of 2017.
