Swedish oil firm Lundin Petroleum said today that its Hufsa prospect in the Barents Sea was “non-commercial”.
Lundin said the Leiv Eiriksson rig had finished drilling the exploration well on the licence area.
“A non-commercial gas discovery was made in the main well while the sidetrack was dry,” Lundin said.
The rig will now move on to drill the Hurri prospect.
Lundin operates the Licence with a 35% working interest. Aker BP holds 35% and DEA has 30%.
