German energy firm Dea has booked a Transocean rig to drill production wells at the Dvalin field in the Norwegian Sea.
The contract between the two companies is valued at $68million.
The Transocean Arctic rig will start drilling four production wells mid-2019.
The campaign is expected to last 340 days.
Hans-Hermann Andreae, managing director of Dea Norge, said: “Drilling the production wells will be an important step towards production start of the Dvalin field in autumn 2020. DEA is very satisfied with having Transocean on board for the drilling operations.”
