North Atlantic Drilling, a subsidiary of Norway-born tycoon John Fredriksen’s Seadrill business, will use its West Phoenix rig for six wells as part of a contract with German firm VNG.
The semi-submersible rig will work on the Fenja development in the Norwegian Sea.
The contract is thought to be worth $80million and will get under way in early 2020.
