Helicopter operator CHC has won a three-year contract extension with Point Resources for transporting workers to several fields in the Norwegian North Sea.
The deal covers the firm’s operated Balder, Ringhorne and Jotun fields, around 100 nautical miles offshore.
CHC will provide a dedicated Sikorsky S-92 helicopter for the contract which runs until the end of 2021.
The aircraft will make around ten flights per week.
Mark Abbey, regional director for Europe, Middle East and Africa, said: “We have partnered with Point Resources for more than 50 years, flying with them for the first time in 1966.
“Such a long and valued partnership demonstrates the continued confidence in the service provided by our Norwegian team.
“As one of the leading helicopter service provider in Norway, this work allows us to continue to build on more than half a century of aviation experience supporting oil and gas customers on the Norwegian Continental Shelf as we continue to evolve our services and technology to best meet their needs.”
