North Sea and Asia-Pacific subsea inspection specialists Pmac (Process Monitoring and Control) have added topside inspection services to their growing portfolio with the acquisition of Oilfield Corrosion Monitoring Services (OCMS) for an undisclosed sum.
OCMS, which provides internal corrosion monitoring and analysis, bio-side monitoring services and specialist corrosion monitoring equipment supplies, was founded by Stuart Dunthorne in 2011.
PMAC Operations Director Gareth Allan said: “Bringing OCMS into the group immediately expands our service base, creating a multi-skilled inspection workforce that will allow us to remain competitive in the current oil and gas climate.”
Mr Dunthorne, OCMS Director: “The opportunity for us become part of an inspection group with global growth aspirations was too good to turn down. I’m really looking forward to integrating our topside services with PMAC’s chemical testing capabilities.”
Allan added: “We are bucking the trend of doom and gloom stories in the oil and gas industry by securing the skills we need to grow PMAC into a truly integrated global inspection services company.
