The average pay for oil and gas workers rose by 2.3% last year, despite a reduction in the global oil price.
According to reports, figures from Statistics Norway have shown oil workers still have the highest salaries at NOK803,600.
Trade union leader Jan Olav Brekke said the figures were surprising given the lower oil price.
He said a new investigation would be conducted to assess the figures.
The second highest paid job came in at NOK743,500 from the financial sector.
