Moller-Maersk has appointed the grandson of Maersk McKinney Moller – who transformed the family shipping business into an international conglomerate – as chief executive of the holding company behind the Danish giant.
Robert Uggla, 38, has been boss of the Maersk-owned tug boat operator Svitzer since 2012.
He will take up the position as chief executive from September 1st.
Uggla first joined the company in 2004 and has been a member of the board of directors of AP Moller Maersk since March last year.
