Oil major BP has reportedly dropped its adviser on executive pay following a backlash from shareholders earlier this year.
It led to a vote against chief executive Bob Dudley’s £14million cash boost.
According to reports from Sky News, the company has appointed consultants at Deloitte, ending its relationship with Gerrit Aronson.
He had earned thousands of pounds for his work with the company over the past few years.
It is also reported that Towers Watson, which had been helping to advise BP in renumeration benchmarking, now no longer works with the company.
BP confirmed the move that Deloitte had been hired and said it was to provide the committee with advice, particularly on benchmarking.
