Offshore accommodation business HB Rentals has spent £750,000 on new workshop and fridge-freezer containers to help keep up with demand.
HB, whose corporate headquarters are in Houston, said the versatile workshop containers were kitted out with ATEX Zone 1 electrics, lighting, heating and air conditioning and could be used for a range of functions.
HB, which also has a base in Aberdeen, also said the containers were certified for use in hazardous areas.
The fridge-freezer units can operate in environments ranging between -30°C to +50°C and also have a removable floor grid for easy cleaning, according to HB, which is part of the Superior Energy Services company.
HB Rentals managing director Norman Porter said: “We are thrilled to be adding these two new product lines to our portfolio of rental equipment. So far we have received a healthy level of enquiries and already have success with a number on contract in the North Sea.
“We are continuing to diversify our business to meet the changing customer requirements and our investment in this new equipment is a testament to our on-going commitment to the industry.”
