An influential adviser of President-elect Donald Trump is to tour the Alberta oil sands in the week before his inauguration, according to reports.
Kellyanne Conway, Trump’s campaign manager, will hold talks with Alberta business leaders at a private fundraising dinner.
The Alberta Prosperity Fund released a statement reporting the move earlier this week.
Trump will take over the White House on January 20th.
The oil and gas industry is expecting the new leader to be a more formidable ally than outgoing President Barack Obama.
The meeting with Conway has been described as a “heck of an opportunity” by Alberta Prosperity.
