A Finnish retailer has been given the go-ahead to walk away from the Fennovoima nuclear project.
An arbitration court made the ruling today.
The company, Kesko Oyi, owned about 2% of Fennovoima at the time.
However, in 2014, it said it wanted out of the project but the nuclear project’s owner said Kesko had committed to further financing for the the plant.
A Kesko spokesman said: “This is the end of the case. We are happy with the decision.”
The project has seen a number of investors pull out including E.ON.
The reactor is due to come on stream in 2024.
