Travellers have set up camp on the premises of an Aberdeenshire business park.
Nine caravans have pitched up in a privately-owned car park on Prospect Road, in Arnhall Business Park, adjacent to the Tesco petrol station.
It is understood that access to the site was gained by removing a barrier.
The camp has been reported to police and officers have already paid a visit.
Yesterday, one of the travellers, who did not want to be named, said: “We’re just here on holiday from Glasgow.
“We’ll just see how long we can get before they move us on.”
It is understood some of the families had moved from an unauthorised camp which sprung up last week close to Aberdeen Crematorium.
Last night, Westhill councillor Ron McKail said he had been made aware of the situation by a constituent.
He added: “I went to see the caravans yesterday.
“They had gained access by moving the fence.
“I think the concern is that it is not right that they should move a fence and park their vehicles there.
“None of us could do that.
“Another concern is how long are they going to stay and will they leave the carpark in the same condition as they found it in.
“Often, rubbish is left behind.
“I’m not saying that will happen here, but these are the concerns people have.”
It is not clear who owns the car park, but the onus will be on the landowner to apply for a court order to have the travellers moved on.
A police spokesman said: “The incident has been reported to police and the matter will be investigated.”
Last week, travellers settled in the area between Hazlehead Academy and Aberdeen’s crematorium, leaving large sections of earth ripped up under the wheels of their vehicles.
Last night, Hazlehead councillor Martin Greig said the travellers played a game of “cat and mouse” with authorities, moving from place to place just as eviction orders were issued.
