Scottish law firm Stronachs has revealed plans to make a short move to new headquarters in Aberdeen as it continues to expand.
The practice will relocate from its current base at 34 Albyn Place, less than 100 yards along the same street to the former offices of oil and gas company BG Group next month.
Managing partner David Rennie said the move from the premises the firm has occupied for 21 years will allow it to bring its growing workforce together in one building.
He added: “We have been looking to upgrade offices and get under one roof for some time and the combination of the high specification accommodation offered by 28 Albyn Place, located just 75 yards along the road, was too good an opportunity to miss.
“We have been offering legal services in the north-east for more than 150 years, so it’s important we continue to operate out of a city centre facility that can meet the needs of our staff and clients for years to come.
“We look forward to welcoming clients to our new offices next month.”
One of the largest independent law practices headquartered in the north-east, Stronachs has 19 partners, with around 100 lawyers and support staff between its offices in Aberdeen and Inverness.
The firm recently announced the appointment of four new partners, Ross Linn, Jaclyn Russell, Bob McDiarmid and Emma Stephen in response to “encouraging” growth in demand for its services.
BG Group moved out of the 13,600sq ft Albyn Place offices last year after the company was taken over by Shell, with staff relocating to the Dutch firm’s Tullos base.
