Companies across the north-east are gearing up to go head-to-head in the 2019 Northern Star Business Awards.
People from organisations of all shapes and sizes, operating across a wide range of sectors, will gather at the new P&J Live venue later this year to see who has landed one of the coveted titles.
Among those vying for the eco hero award, sponsored by Circular North-east, are Aberdeen Performing Arts, Mackie’s of Scotland and the OTL Group. This accolade recognises businesses that are passionate about the planet and actively working to reduce their impact on the environment.
In the running for the “making the difference” title, sponsored by Balmoral Group, are Aberdeen Sports Village, Bon Accord, Charlie House and Community Food Initiatives North East.
These businesses have been shortlisted for their commitment to creating positive change in the community and making the region a better place.
Now in their 16th year, the awards will also celebrate some of the north-east’s most outstanding family firms – those with an excellent reputation, integrity and a strong team at their centre.
The finalists in the family business category, sponsored by Aberdeenshire Council, are Dalriada Luxury Lodges, Greenwell Equipment and KR Steel. The awards, organised by Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with The P&J, reflect the dynamic, progressive and diverse range of businesses across the region.
Winners will be unveiled before more than 600 guests at a black-tie ceremony on Thursday September 26, the first to take place at P&J Live. Tickets can be booked at agcc.co.uk or by calling the chamber events team on 01224 343912.
