Aberdeenshire based energy industry equipment rental firm Hiretech Limited has received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise for International Trade.
The prestigious accolade was presented by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire, Sandy Manson, during a visit to the company’s premises at Fintray by Dyce.
This is the first Queen’s Award to be awarded to Hiretech, recognising its excellence in international trade and demonstration of significant achievements in establishing business in export markets around the world.
The company has achieved substantial overseas trade specifically across Africa, the Caspian, Norway and South East Asia, and is committed to increasing its foothold in the international market, up to 40% towards its annual turnover, as part of its strategic growth plans.
During the visit Mr Manson received a tour of the Hiretech facility and was shown some of the equipment that Hiretech offers to support clients across the energy, subsea, decommissioning and renewables industries.
Mr Manson commented, “On behalf of Her Majesty The Queen I was delighted to present the prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise to Hiretech for their exceptional achievement in growing their level of international trade through their innovative and client focused approach in a very competitive market. The international trade category attracts the largest number of entries from throughout the UK therefore making Hiretech’s success all the more special.”
