An engineering firm at Offshore Europe 2013 has claimed a new world record after making the world’s quickest block of ice cream.

John McCruden, owner of the Chapter One restaurant in Forres, employed liquid nitrogen to make ice cream in just over six seconds – shaving a full four seconds off the existing record.
