More flights from Aberdeen to Oslo are to be laid on from next year after increased demand from the oil and gas industry.
Operator Bmi Regional is to run two flights a day between the energy cities from February between Mondays and Thursdays. The single daily service will continue to operate on Sundays and Fridays.
“When we launched our Aberdeen to Oslo service last month we committed to increasing the frequency if demand required it,” said Bmi regional chief executive Cathal O’Connell
“The support of businesses at both ends of the route has exceeded our expectations and we are now responding to feedback from our customers in adding these additional frequencies. Increasing the number of flights to two a day further demonstrates our commitment to providing connections that support the strong economy in the North-east of Scotland and the oil and gas industry in Scotland and Norway.”
The increased service will begin operating from February 4.
