
GE Oil and Gas’s Subsea arm has expanded its operations in Indonesia with an expanded manufacturing facility for South-east Asia.
The new facilty, on Batam Island, will support GE’s subsea base in Aberdeen after a £9million investment programme to upgrade the plant and workshop.
“South east Asia offers us great potential as a region in terms of the development of both deep water fields and enhanced recovery from existing wells,” said GE Oil and Gas Subsea chief executive Rod Christie.
