Norwegian geoscience firm TGS has announced the signing of a number of new survey agreements after closing 2013 at a better-than-forecast $882million revenue.
The four new multi-client deals include a 3D survey in offshore Northwest Australia, two 2D surveys offshore Madagascar and a 3D survey onshore Alberta, Canada, covering a total of 11,012 sq kilometres.
The firm estimates data from the surveys will be made available between the second and fourth quarters of this year.
The announcement came as TGS reported its end-of-year financial results, recording revenue of $12million above the firm’s top-end target of $870million.
Record late sales in the fourth quarter contributed to the increase, with multi-client investments expected to sum up to $437million for the year, the company said.
