Subsea Expo looks poised to draw more than 5,000 people to Aberdeen next month.
Subsea UK’s flagship event – which runs from February 5 to February 7 – has been extended from two to three days to meet demand.
It is the 10th anniversary of the show, which began in 2004 with 40 exhibitors and around 200 delegates.
Neil Gordon, chief executive of Subsea UK said: “Our annual exhibition and conference has grown to become a leading event in the international subsea calendar. The time is right to rebrand and review the format to ensure it is topical, relevant and fresh.”
In addition to the new name, Subsea Expo in 2014 will have a new format.
The first day will see leading subsea figures sharing their views on the industry. A new technology showcase will provide a forum for companies to present on new technology and innovations, particularly in subsea fields of the future, subsea integrity management and offshore renewables.
To help companies exploit new markets, there will be an area run by UKTI on global opportunities which will include one-to-one appointments and will attract visitors on inward missions from markets such as Brazil, Australia and West Africa.
The third day focuses on recruitment.
Admission to the exhibition, at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre, is free but pre-registration is recommended. Delegates can register online at www.subseaexpo.com
