An international oil industry consultancy firm has made a £1million move into Aberdeen.
Norwegian firm Acona has set up its base on Albyn Terrace as it looks to establish a presence in the city for the UK North Sea market.
The well engineering firm will employ six people in the city, but link up with the larger group to offer clients access to more than 240 upstream consultants around the world.
“We may be a new name in the city, but Acona is a well established, trusted company with a reputation for the provision of high quality consultants,” said the firm’s Douglas Nunn.
“Our drilling engineers and wellsite supervisors go through a process of competency profiling so clients know they are getting the high calibre personnel needed in today’s offshore environment.”
