Aberdeen firm Equalizer International has appointed its first European sales and marketing manager to drive its global expansion.
Michael Machnik, who previously worked with the flange developer as a European distributor, will market Equalizer’s offering across European offshore and renewables markets, with particular focus on petrochemical and wind sectors.
The new appointment comes after the opening of Equalizer’s first overseas office in Houston last May as well as setting up a new global marketing team to tie new partnerships throughout Asia and the Southern Hemisphere.
“We see Europe as the next key market for us,” said Ian McCormick, Equalizer International’s chairman and managing director.
“Until now our focus has been primarily on the upstream oil and gas sector but our tools are suitable for multi-industry use and are widely used offshore and onshore in oil and gas, renewables, refining and petrochemicals industries.
“We set out to grow our business on an international level and growing demand across our entire product range is having a significant impact on our company growth.
“We celebrate our 20th birthday this year and could not have wished for a better present.”
